Train your Teaching Skills - New Platform at the Graduate Center Kiel

24 Feb, 2014

With the summer term 2014 the Graduate Center Kiel is introducing the platform “Docstalks”.

With this platform the Graduate Center would like to support different events which introduce and communicate research and teaching content and which focus on the great width and diversity of the innovative research done by young scientists.

Doctoral candidates from Kiel University can choose and organize an event such as a lecture, a lecture series, a workshop or a seminar with which to present interesting topics of their subjects, current research approaches or new concepts to students, other doctoral candidates or to a wider audience.

The aim is to establish a science forum for young academics who do not teach which offers them the possibility of developing their teaching profile and their skills in higher education teaching. “Docstalks” also offers its participants the opportunity to create structures that support intensive scientific and interdisciplinary exchange, international networking and future co-operations.

“Docstalks” is an offer to all national and international doctoral candidates at Kiel University. Depending on registration events can take place weekly, bi-weekly or every four weeks. You can register via docstalks [at] gz.uni-kiel.de () or personally with Dilshod Azimov on Mondays from 9 to 12 am at the Graduate Center (Leibnizstr. 3, room 35) or by appointment.
