Why this profession?

I am interested in the analysis of complex diseases by integrating shotgun metagenomic data with human genetics. Prior to starting my doctorate, I worked as research assistant in Jülich Supercomputer Center, Germany, where I was part of the Parallel-In-Time Integration team. I also taught courses in Statistics and Mathematics at the Mediterranean University of Albania and Aleksander Moisiu University, Albania. Holding a BA and Msc in Mathematics (2013 and 2015) from Tirana University, I remain dedicated to integrating theory and practice to further develop and implement mathematical models for gaining insights into the dynamics and interactions of complex systems and to enhance our understanding of the microbiome.

Why RTG Genes, Environment and Inflammation?

The organization of the RTG provides a great environment for interdisciplinary scientist to collaborate. Except from working with best scientists and technologies for studying the role of the microbiome in human health, RTG offers different soft skills courses. I look forward to working within this collaborative network of researchers and contribute to the success of the group.
