I am interested in the analysis of complex diseases by integrating shotgun metagenomic data with human genetics. Prior to starting my doctorate, I worked as research assistant in Jülich Supercomputer Center, Germany, where I was part of the Parallel-In-Time Integration team. I also taught courses in Statistics and Mathematics at the Mediterranean University of Albania and Aleksander Moisiu University, Albania. Holding a BA and Msc in Mathematics (2013 and 2015) from Tirana University, I remain dedicated to integrating theory and practice to further develop and implement mathematical models for gaining insights into the dynamics and interactions of complex systems and to enhance our understanding of the microbiome.
