I’ve always been interested in and fascinated by science since my school days. The difficult part was choosing which pathway to follow during University, since it’s such a diverse field.
I’ve favoured medicine for a while and to determine my choice I’ve decided to work for an NGO based in Nairobi, Kenya for half a year. We were providing HIV testing, counseling and guidance in the most rural parts of the country, with no running water or electricity on site. Sharing some of the most touching moments, the people I’ve been meeting during this stay convinced me to pursue a medical career.
