Why this profession?

I have always been interested in medicine and science. After one year of studying chemistry at the University of Gdansk, I decided to become a doctor and started to study medicine at the Medical University of Gdansk, where I graduated in 2013. During my work with patients, I realized how important science is for the progress of medicine. Thanks to science and technology, we are already able to prevent or cure many diseases. Further development can only be achieved through research and international cooperation between scientists. I really want to be a part of this progress. As a doctor and researcher, I hope that my work will also positively affect the health of my patients.

Why RTG Genes, Environment and Inflammation?

Being part of the Research Training Group “Genes, Environment and Inflammation” gives me the opportunity to develop my skills as a future scientist. The interdisciplinary research and exchange of knowledge with international colleges that this program provides is the most effective way to identify the influence of our environment and genes on inflammatory diseases.
