A team of young and innovative scientists who are already working together in the Excellence Cluster “Inflammation at Interfaces” and some excellent associated senior build the interdisciplinary team of the RTG Genes, Environment and Inflammation. They are experts in the fields of
molecular biology / biochemistry / human genetics / microbiology / immunology / epidemiology / bioinformatics / statistics.

Together they will guide  promising doctoral researchers from China, Germany, Iran, Italy and Poland through a doctorate that will be well above the level of a non-coordinated doctoral programme.
