Resources

Via the member institutions of our RTG and the integration into the existing networks at both universities the researchers of the RTG have access to an excellent and divers infrastructure, especially via the:

Cluster of Excellence "Inflammation at Interfaces"

Centers

Comprehensive Center for Inflammation Medicine (CCIM)

Institute for Experimental Medicine (IEM)

Institute for Systemic Inflammation Research (ISEF)

Molecular Imaging North Competence Center (Moin CC)

Center for Structural and Cell Biology in Medicine (CSCM)

Center for Molecular Biosciences (ZMB)

Biobanking

A unique and important resource of the Cluster of Excellence is the population representative biobank popgen which includes 75.000 samples of various diseases and control groups.

BMBF (Federal Ministry for Education and Research) funding for popgen 2.0 will allow to centralize important smaller biobanks and further improve popgen.

Researchers of popgen and the Cluster are also involved in a pilot study for establishing a large national biobank "national cohort " financed through the BMBF.
